Arrival – Zurich International Airport

I landed at Zurich Airport, which was clean, efficient, and tourist-friendly. After completing immigration, I took a pre-booked train to Lucerne, which gave me my first glimpse of Switzerland’s scenic beauty.

Lucerne – Day 1 & 2

Interlaken – Day 3

5-Day Itinerary & Experience

Day 1 – Lucerne Exploration

  • Walked along Chapel Bridge and admired the old town.

  • Visited Lion Monument, reflecting on Swiss history.

  • Evening: Boat ride on Lake Lucerne – the sunset over mountains was surreal.

 Day 2 – Mount Pilatus Adventure

  • Took boat + cable car combo to Mount Pilatus.

  • Experience: Steep panoramic views, fresh mountain air, snow patches at the top.

  • Lunch at mountaintop restaurant with Swiss fondue.

  • Return by world’s steepest cogwheel railway – exhilarating ride.

 Day 3 – Jungfraujoch & Interlaken

  • Morning train to Interlaken, check-in at hotel.

  • Took Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe excursion.

    • Ice palace, snow activities, and panoramic alpine views.

  • Evening: Walk around Lake Thun, enjoy local Swiss cuisine in a riverside restaurant.

 Day 4 – Lauterbrunnen & Bernese Alps

  • Day trip to Lauterbrunnen Valley

    • Visited Staubbach & Trümmelbach Falls

    • Mini-hike to villages like Mürren for postcard views.

  • Evening return to Zurich, check-in at hotel.

 Day 5 – Zurich City Exploration & Departure

  • Morning stroll along Bahnhofstrasse for shopping.

  • Visited Old Town (Altstadt) and Lake Zurich promenade.

  • Lunch at a riverside café, tried Rösti & Swiss chocolate dessert.

  • Evening: Departed from Zurich International Airport.

 Personal Reflection

Switzerland exceeded my expectations. From Lucerne’s serenity, Mount Pilatus thrill, Jungfraujoch snow fun, to Zurich’s urban charm, every day offered a different experience. I left with memories of majestic mountains, pristine lakes, and warm Swiss hospitality.
